OUTDOOREDUCATION
|
Recently, students from Edwardsburg Middle School came to Camp Eberhart to enjoy a day of fun in the snow. The students participated in many different winter activities including: tubing, cross country skiing, winter survival, ice skating and dream catchers. A great time and lots of hot chocolate were had by all. For an idea of some of the classes offered, check out our class guide. Much of our curriculum is teamwork and education-based, but we can always find a little time for recreational activities such as Canoeing or Archery. The Environmental Outdoor Education program is at its busiest in Spring and Fall, but over the past few years, both Spring and Fall have extended so far that we have added Winter Environmental Outdoor Education to our year. Schools are already signing up for our new classes which include Winter Tracking, Snow Ecology, Frozen Lake Exploration and Snow-shoeing and Snowmound-building. If you know of any schools or teachers in the Michiana (Northern Indiana/Southern Michigan) area whose students would benefit from this program, please call Camp Eberhart (888.YCAMPEB or 269.244.5125) to request our Teacher's Handbook. |
