Brick Walkway for Future Remembrance!

Greetings to all of our Friends:

Do you remember your first summer at Camp Eberhart? Do you remember when you were on staff at Camp Eberhart? It’s one of the most significant experiences of your young life, and you wanted to leave your mark there. We’ve all done it – leaving your name or a special message on the walls of a cabin, Halfway, Buckets of Blood, or maybe one of those buildings that is no longer there. My name was signed in Cabin 13 & 14 and then in 15 & 16, but how long were my messages there until necessary maintenance took its toll?

I wanted to let you know about a project being undertaken by the Alumni Association; a project which will give us all a way to leave a meaningful and permanent mark on camp. We are going to build a walkway of memories, composed of individual bricks inscribed with names, personal messages, or memorable quotes. This would be a wonderful way to communicate your own love for camp, inspire future campers and staff, or memorialize a loved one. The walkway will enhance the landscape around Klinger for all to enjoy.

Each 4” x 8” brick will cost $65, and will hold 3 lines of text, for a total of 13 characters/spaces per line. Each 8” x 8” brick will cost  $85, and will hold 5 lines of text, for a total of 13 characters/spaces per line.
